Chelsea Football Club has entered into a partnership worth $ 20 million per year with WhaleFin, a crypto platform supported by the Amber Group. After the partnership, WhaleFin will become the official sleeve partner of Chelsea FC from the 2022/23 season.
According to an official statement from Chelsea FC on its website and social media page, the WhaleFin logo, which depicts a blue whale, will be placed on Chelsea FC players’ jerseys. The logo will replace the logo of the current Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, which has been valid for four years.

First digital asset partner for Chelsea FC
As the first cryptocurrency partner for Chelsea Fc, Amber Group’s partnership enables it to introduce WhhaleFin to Chelsea fans around the world.
After announcing the partnership, Chelsea’s chief Executive Officer Guy Laurence said:
“This is an extremely exciting partnership for the club, which brings us together with one of the most advanced digital asset companies in the world.“
For his part, Amber Group CEO Michael Wu said:
“The game’s ability to appeal to a global audience regardless of culture, language and nationality can help promote digital assets.“
This partnership marks Chelsea FC’s entry into the crypto world.
Manchester United, a major rival of Chelsea FC, has already announced a multi-year partnership with Tezos, a blockchain group whose name will appear on Manchester’s training equipment. On the other hand, Liverpool, another English Premier League football club, is also considering replacing its shirt sponsors with Standard Chattered.
