Crypto markets were higher this morning, with the majority of the top 10 cryptos posting gains in the last 24 hours. The gloomy predictions of a market crash, made by Fortune and other leading media, have not come true.

The announcement that Russia could accept crypto as legal tender did not affect the markets as much as expected.

Top Cryptos

Bitcoin rose by about 5% and was trading above $40,000 at the time of writing this article. Ethereum rose by about 4%, and Cardano, XRP and Solana both recorded increases of about 5%.

The biggest winner in the top 10 is Terra with a plus of 15% at the time of writing. Terra announced the launch of self-repaying loans and its stablecoin UST surpassed its rival BUSD, Binance’s stablecoin, by market capitalization.

In 16th place, NEAR Protocol has risen by 13% and is thus once again on an upward trend.

Top Movers

Outside the top 20, ApeCoin increased by about 9%. Most other cryptos also recorded gains. All the top 100 coins are in the green, with the exception of Stacks and Decred, which were the only two in the green yesterday.

The biggest winners are SAND from ICON and The Sandbox with 12%, Loopring with 11%, Zcash with 15% and THORChain with 16%. Privacy Coins gain in value.

STEPN’s GMT token is by far the biggest winner, as it has increased 40% of its value at the time of writing this article. Stepn announced a revised GEM (Mystery Box) system and reached the important milestone of 300,000 DAU (Daily Active Users).

Recently, STEPN x ASICS NFTs have been launched, a unique collection of NFT sneakers in partnership with the leading sports brand ASICS. It is available on Binance’s NFT marketplace. All these factors contributed to the spectacular rise in the share price.

Another dog-themed token, Sanji Inu, is talking about himself. It has increased by 842% in the last 24 hours.
